Canyon Brewing is a short 10-minute drive from the centre of town, next to the Shotover Jet that Kate Middleton, Justin Bieber, and Jonah Lomu (RIP) rode before they even knew Izzi and Avani were to one day be wed there.

The Queenstown airport is very central and there's plenty of flights to Australia and Auckland. If you're unfamiliar with our airlines, I can recommend Jetstar. It’s the Emirates of Oceania.
From the airport, there's busses into town every 15-30 minutes, and Ubers. If you want to save a few $ you can leave the airport and walk a bit further down the road. I was chased by an Uber driver once for doing this back to the airport though.
If you're up for a road trip, the drive from Christchurch to Queenstown beats Wellington on a good day. It'll take a full day, but it's a good chance to listen to Channel X, New Zealand's best radio station. Email us for the frequencies.

If you'd like to stay close to the town, Central Queenstown, Frankton and Fernhill are all easily accessible without a car. There's a single decker bus that runs pretty frequently. It's $4, or $2 if you buy a Bee Card at the Airport Paper Plus.
If you're renting a car, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown and Jack's Point are good options. You can get busses and Ubers to these places too, but it's not as convenient.
